Well, i never had to interprete, and no one should. If ones in doubt what is meant in the Qur`an, one should consider to check the Tafsir, which is unchanged since hundeds of years, and which is very clear. So, if i doubt Sura 9;29 which tells to kill the unbelievers, i check the Tafsirs, and i will find out that "kill" is exactly what is meant. Theres no doubt. Same with "dont take jews and christians as friends, the Tafsir are very clear, no room for interpretation there.

The first speaker trailed off immediately with an obvious justification for his prophets brutish behavior by attempting to glue "it was back then so it's okay" context to his pride; little does this Muslim know it is no longer his prophets pride, but his own. Religion is what is getting people killed right now. There is a reason the saying "live and let live" has existed for so long... And it's because we let them be religious while they slaughter others in the name of a God they cannot know for sure is there.
